B.B. Lewis


 Mr. B.B. Lewis, 80, of 908 E. Main St., died Sat. Jan. 14th, 2012 at Hospice at Wendover.  A native of Cleveland Co. he was the son of the late Andrew and Janie Posey Lewis.  He served in the Navy during the Korean War Conflict, where he served on the USS Union.  He later attended Howard Business College, and retired from Martin Motor Lines.  He was a member of First Baptist Church, and attended Landmark Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Lewis; nephew, Mike Whisnant; brother in law, Charles Whisnant

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Wanda Causby Lewis of the home; son, Robert Alan Lewis; Sheila Davis and husband Randy, Kathy Phillips, all of Shelby; two sisters, Loretta Harris and husband Bill of Charlotte, Lunette Whisnant of Kings Mountain; four grandchildren, Casie Davis and boyfriend Travis Powell, Katie Davis and boyfriend Todd Pearson, Brandie Davis and boyfriend Jake Price, and Brandon Lewis, all of Shelby; 5 nephews; 2 nieces; 5 great nephews; 4 great nieces

SERVICES: Tuesday, 2pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

VISITATION: Monday, 6-7:30pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and other times at his home

CLERGY: Rev. Allen Davis

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Sunset Cemetery with military honors
