The Backcountry Militia Labor Day Encampment was held at the Kings Mountain National Military Park on September 3rd & 4th. Militia reenactors demonstrated life on the Carolina frontier including cooking, medicine, crafts, trades and weapons. Members of the Backcountry Militia demonstrated weapons that were used in frontier days and at the Battle of Kings Mountain.
