Barbara Arrowood Larson, 66, of Union Mills, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 3, 1959, in Rutherfordton, NC, she was the daughter of Berry Hubert Arrowood and Edna Viola Wilson Arrowood.

Barbara was known for her tenacity, strength, and deep love for her family. She spent the majority of her career at Mastercraft, where she formed many lifelong friendships. Later, she embraced the role of a long-haul truck driver, a job that reflected her independence and determination, and where she met and married her husband, Darren.

Barbara held a strong Christian faith, which brought her comfort, especially during the difficult days. She found joy in gardening, crafting, and sewing; and she loved hunting for and collecting antiques with Darren. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Darren Larson; her children, Brandy Terry, Kim Carpenter (Forest), Barry Hoyle (Tracy), and Jessica Mensch; as well as her step-children, Drew, Matthew, and Joshua Larson. She leaves behind sixteen beautiful grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, each of whom brought light and pride into her life. She is also survived by her brother, Randy Arrowood, and his family, along with many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will celebrate her life in a Private Service with family and close friends at Robertson Creek Free Will Baptist Church in Bostic, NC on Tuesday November 18, from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM.

Barbara's strength, love, faith, and unwavering spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
