Mrs. Beatrice Jones Cockrell, 100, of Shelby, NC, passed away at Cleveland Pines

Nursing Center on December 10, 2012.  A native of Harnett County, she was the

daughter of the late Elijah Walton Jones & Maude Stevens Jones.  Mrs. Cockrell

was a member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church in Grover.  She loved sewing, was

an avid reader,  sports fan, and a very good homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William

Fred Cockrell, Sr. and her son, William Fred Cockrell, Jr.  

She is survived by her son, Phillip Andrew Cockrell & wife, Bobbie of Ponte Vedra, FL;

two daughters, Starr Peeler & husband, Charles of Shelby and Reita G. Cockrell of South Port;

eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren & two great-great grandchildren

as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation:                          The family will receive friends at Cleveland Funeral Services,

                                            Saturday, December 15, 2012    10:00 – 11:00 AM
