Mrs. Beth Troutman Smith, 69, of 1203 S. Post Rd., Shelby, NC passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010. Services were held at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel. Burial followed in Cleveland Memorial Park. 

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Troutman, Sr. and Louise Hendrick Troutman; and 1 brother, Joel Troutman.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charles Harold Smith of the home; 2 daughters, Kimberly Melick and husband Chris of Inman, SC, and Kelly Harrison and husband Tim of Kings Mountain; 1 son, Mark Smith and wife Denise of Camden, TN; 1 brother, Fred Troutman, Jr. and wife Barbara of Shelby; and 8 grandchildren.
