Kings Mountain, NC - - Betty Lou Ross Bell, 95, of 121 Niagara Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.

Born in Hildebran, NC, she was the widow of the late Edward Marshall Bell, Jr. and daughter of the late Grady Lee Ross and Elsie Putnam Ross. She retired from manufacturing and was a member of Christian Freedom Baptist Church. She loved her family and making candy.

Surviving are two sons, Steve Bell (Beth) of Kings Mountain and Eddie Bell (Myrtle) of Gaffney; three sisters, Mary Hughes of Kings Mountain, Denise Schenk of Shelby and Joyce Wright (Scott) of Suffolk, VA; eight grandchildren, April Cash (Joe), Chandra Jones, Che' Bell (Justin Miller), Cassie C. Seagroves (Daniel), Jamie Bell (Angel), Misty Owens, Gracelynne Christopher and Braidynn Christopher; five great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Derrick Bell, and a sister, Beona Carter.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Frederick Memorial Gardens with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

The family will be at their respective homes.
