Betty Lou Sain Elmore
Betty Lou Sain Elmore, 89, of 1176 Wyke Road, Shelby, passed away Sunday January 24, 2016 at Hospice at Wendover.
Born March 12, 1926 in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late W. Dennis Sain and Cora Lilly Upton Sain. She was a retired quality control inspector from Fasco and was a member of Hoyle Memorial United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and was very active in Neal Senior Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carlo Franklin Elmore and one brother, Dr. Daniel Sain.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra & Kenneth Sparks, Denise & Dennis Hogan and Carla & Richard Bivins all of Shelby, one brother, Harry Sain of Lawndale, one sister, Julia Sain of Lawndale, seven grandchildren, Dana Williams of Cary, Danny Hogan of Fallston, Dawn Wood of Colfax, Daniel Sparks, Jonathan Bivins, and Adam Bivins all of Shelby, and Sarah Bradley of Indianapolis and fifteen great grandchildren.
The visitation will be 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday at Hoyle Memorial United Methodist Church
The funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday at Hoyle Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Denise Kilgo-Martin officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Peter's United Methodist Church Cemetery.
