Betty Rebecca Tallent, 71, of Ed Craig Road, Vale passed away on January 25, 2026, at Atrium Health - Lincoln.

Betty was born on October 5, 1954, in Cleveland County, NC to the late Johnie Robert Tallent and Dorothy Fredell Tallent . She was self-employed and was a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Eugene Tallent and Tim Tallent and a sister Nancy Tallent.

Betty is survived by two sisters, Barbara Tallent of Vale, Jeanette Mullett of Casar, and two brothers, Bobby Lloyd Tallent of Lawndale, Charles Glen Tallent of Lawndale and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at Stamey- Tysinger Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held Thursday January 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Stamey- Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wade Dellinger officiating.

Burial will follow at Olive Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
