MOORESBORO-Betty S. Powell, 69, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, at her home. A native of Cleveland County, she is the daughter of the late bub and Hazel Campbell Foster. She had a love for caring for the elderly.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Foster; and sister, Mary Warren.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Marvin Powell, of the home; son, Dwayne Powell and wife Shannon of Shelby; sisters, Dorothy Smart and Wanda Owens, both of Cliffside, and Barbara Stafford of Forest City; brothers, Ronald Foster of Cliffside and Tommy Foster and wife Sherry of Forest City; grandchildren, Adam and Isaac Powell, and Roni Miskell and husband Chris; and great-grandchildren, Luna and Saya Miskell

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 11am, Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

OFFICIATING: Rev. Tom Runyans will officiate

BURIAL: Will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park
