Mrs. Beulah Wellmon Smith, 94, of Shelby, NC passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2011. Services were held at Mt. Sanai Baptist Church. Burial was held in Cleveland Memorial Park.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by husband, Troy Franklin Smith, Sr.; her parents, Bony Buford Wellmon & Gertie Irene Bridges Wellmon; brothers, Buford Wellmon and Max Wellmon; sisters: Selma Helton and Ruth Patterson.

She is survived by 2 sons: Troy Smith, Jr. of Shelby and Michael Smith and wife Glenda of Kings Mountain; daughters: Linda Smith of the home, Alecia Mueller of Mt. Pleasant, SC; sister: Vernie Hamrick of Shelby;  sister-In-Law: Grace Wellmon of Shelby; 7 grandchildren;  4 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; a special friend: Abbie Anthony of Shelby and a number of nieces and nephews.
