Bible Study: What’s Wrong?

By: Evangelist W.C. “Dub” Dellinger

What’s wrong? I have heard and been asked that question quite often in my 93 years on this earth. There is a lot that is wrong in our world today. It was not meant to be that way. When God created the world, it was good. He said so. Then came sin. Since sin entered the picture, the world has been on a steady downfall.
Then God provided a way for us. Not a way to get out of this world of sin, but a way to have eternal life in a world without sin when it is time for us to leave this world behind. God found it necessary to take on a physical body and walk among men and when He came the name of Jesus was appointed unto Him. One day with your maker’s help, you hear of this man who walked the earth doing good to all.  Then you hear that he died on a cross as payment for ALL the sin in the world. We only had to accept Him. So you stop and think. What choice do you make? The price is already paid. Do you accept the free gift of salvation?
In Genesis 17, a man by the name of Abram endured God’s silence for 13 years when God came to him and told him that his name would be Abraham because God was making Him the father of a multitude. God saw the good in Abraham as He sees the good in each of us. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we are changed from sinner to forgiven. We are then expected to serve God as He calls us. Some are preachers, some teachers or evangelists. God knows what you can do with His help. He will not send us out unequipped for the battle. But one thing that He commands all of us to do is to GO and tell others about how much He loves them...enough to stretch his arms out on a cross and die for them.
What’s wrong?  A lot.  But a lot could be made right if we give it to our Lord and stop trying to fix it ourselves. God loves you. He will provide all your needs and never leave you. Pray one for another and for the leaders of our country. God is still in control and He knows...what’s wrong?
