Billie Jean Bolin McCurry, age 67 passed away on July 2, 2020 at Peak Resources in Shelby.

Born in Catawba County on June 9, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Eural Avond and Sarah Jean Scoggins Bolin. Billie worked for Bernhardt furniture where she retired from after many years of service. She enjoyed cooking and reading.

Billie is survived by her husband of 49 years, Edgar McCurry; a son, Shane McCurry of Cherryville; a daughter, Jenara McCurry Long and husband Billy of Lincolnton; two sisters, Laura Bolin of Cherryville and Judy Pope of Shelby; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held.
