 Mrs. Blanche Russ Grigg, 85, of  Shelby, NC,  passed away, Monday, May 17, 2010. Services were held at Double Shoals United Methodist Church, Shelby. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Grigg was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Grigg; her parents, Forrest Tilden Russ and Carrie Jane Holland Russ; 3 sisters, Dorcas Brown, Ula Mae Russ, and Bessie Russ; and 4 brothers, Paul Russ, John Russ, Olin Russ, and Irvin Russ.

She is survived by 1 son, James R. Grigg, Jr. and wife Kathy of Shelby; 2 daughters, Joyce Mull and husband Randy of Cliffside, and Lisa Adair and husband James of Mooresboro; 1 sister, Vera R. Morrison of Cherryville; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 brother-in-law, Julius Earwood and wife LouNell; 2 sisters-in-law, Recca W. Grigg and Louise Grigg; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donors choice.
