Bobby Eugene Hubbard, 87, of Kings Mountain, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Wendover Hospice House.

Bobby was born on December 12, 1938, in Rutherford County, NC and was a son of the late Fred Ezelle Hubbard and Maggie Belle Gettys Hubbard. He was retired from Copeland as a mechanical electrician and was a member of Polkville Methodist Church. He also served in the US Airforce. Bobby also enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his longtime girlfriend, Blanch Dixon and beloved dog Major.

Bobby is survived by his two daughters, Teresa Brady and husband, Dwayne of Cherryville and Lisa Henley and husband Chris of Tega Cay, SC; sister, Marian Aderholdt of Shelby; three grandsons, Dalton Brady, Jacob Henley and wife, Morgan, and Luke Henley and fiancée Alexa; a great granddaughter, Eden Henley; special caregiver, Gail Harman; longtime friends, Tom Ferreira, Jerry Parker and faithful canine, Bulldozer.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:30 pm to 2:45 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be at 3:00 PM in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Wade Dellinger officiating.

Burial will follow at Polkville Methodist Church Cemetery.
