Bobby Norris Scoggins, age 74, of 134 Phifer Circle, Kings Mountain, NC died August 3, 2011.   He was born in Rutherford Co. NC to the late Samuel Jefferson and Ruby Walker Scoggins.   He was a retired teacher having taught at Shelby High School as well as Gaston College and Belmont Abbey College.   He owned Scoggins Landscaping and Nursery for over 30 years.  A former member of the Bethware Progressive Club and the KM Jaycees, and served in the United States Navy on the USS Hornet during the Korean War.   The family would like to thank Cleveland County Hospice.

 Sons: Samuel Jefferson Scoggins and wife Patsy, Kings Mtn. NC ;  Andy Scoggins and wife Robin, Kings Mtn. NC

 Daughters: Cindy Scoggins Stone, Kings Mtn. NC; Janice Sachs and husband Dave, Charlotte, NC

Brothers: Harold Scoggins, Forest City, NC; Marvin Scoggins, Baltimore, MD

Sisters: Cornelia Stilwell, Hendersonville, NC;  Lucy Melton, Hendersonville, NC and Lucille Hutchins, Ellenboro, NC

 Vivian Payne, Kings Mtn. NC

5 Grandchildren: Tim Stone, Catherine Scoggins, Katelyn Latham, Eric Sachs, and Evan Sachs

4 Great Grandchildren: Steven Stone, Kaleb Scoggins, Jake Scoggins, and Luke Scoggins. 

FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE PRIVATE 

VISITATION: 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday evening, August 5, 2011 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, NC

INTERMENT: Grover Cemetery, Grover, North Carolina
