Boyce Wishion, age 76, of Forest City, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Atrium Health-Charlotte.

Boyce was born Thursday, November 2, 1944 in Rutherford County to the late Norrie Wishion and Minnie Belle Laughters Wishion. He worked as a heavy equipment operator most of his life and was a supervisor for the Forest City Street Department for nineteen years. Boyce was an avid fisherman and enjoyed vegetable gardening. He was a member of Plainview Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Angela Stacey and Betty Jane Wishion; sons, Gary Shehan and Robert Waters; brother, Frank Wishion and sister, Maudie Waters.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of twenty-four years, Elizabeth Wishion; children, Raymond Waters (Denise) of Ellenboro, Boyce Wishion (Angie) of Forest City, Gail McDaniel (Joey) of Rhodhiss, NC, Crystal Lahrmer of Forest City, Tommy Wishion (Dawn) of Ellenboro, Randy Tesseneer of Ellenboro, Mary Tesseneer of Forest City; eight grandchildren, Joannie Waters, Mikayla Waters, Amy Newton, Brandon Ryan, Danielle Beheler, Benji Tesseneer, Madison Wishion, Rocky Wishion and ten great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Plainview Baptist Church with Reverend Marshall Dill and Reverend Dennis Hurdt officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
