Brenda Falls Porter, 83, of Mooresville, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at her residence.

She was born on June 8, 1942 in Cleveland County, NC to the late John Franklin Falls, Jr. and Betty Jean Runyan Falls. She was retired from Amerisure.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Kenneth Porter; son, Christopher Norman Porter and granddaughter, Addison Grace Hutchison.

Brenda is survived by three daughters, Stephanie Porter Reavis and husband, Derek of Mooresville; Jennifer Porter Hitchner and husband, Grant of Mooresville and Shelley Porter Hutchison and husband, Shane of Mooresville; brother, Steve Falls and wife, Jane of Lawndale; five grandchildren, Emily Reavis Roberts and husband, Micah, Kaitlyn Marie Reavis, Jackson Falls Hitchner, Greyson Ross Hitchner and Porter Maxwell Hutchison and one great-granddaughter, Elaina Rose Roberts.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 2:00pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park in Fallston.

The family would like to thank Dr. Andrew Braunstein and Carolina Caring Hospice and Palliative Care for their compassionate, excellent care of Brenda and support for the family.
