Kosa
The retirees fished Lake Wylie 2 weeks ago and as I predicted John Black and Roger McNeely took ‘Pinky’ and picked up the win with 6.3. J R Garland and Rick Maiers had 4.4 to claim second and third went to Mack Wyatt, fishing solo, with 4.3. Big fish was a 4.3 largemouth brought in by Wyatt. This past week, the retirees were on Lake Norman, and once again John Black and Roger McNeely picked up the win with 8.2. They also had big bass with a 2.4 largemouth, and yes again it was ‘Pinky’. J R Garland and Rick Maiers had 7.2 and took second again. Third with 4.6 was Phil Summerville. This week it is back to Lake Wylie.
Bass Caster Federation
The Bass Caster Federation club fished Lake Wateree last weekend with Butch Carter taking the win with 7.98. Greg Pope had 6.30 and was second with Doug Buturia third bringing in 5.74,which was also big bass of the day. Chris Hoopaugh had 5.48 and was fourth with Derek Angel taking fifth with 5.42. Next up will be Mountain Island Lake in November.
CCBC
The Cleveland County Bass Club fished Lake Norman last week and Tom Mayhew picked up the win with 8.06. Ronnie Humphries had 7.90 and was second. Maverick Canipe had 6.12 and claimed third with Larry Melton close behind in fourth with 6.10. Charlie Canipe settled in fifth with 5.88.  Next up will be Stumpy Pond on a date yet to be determined in November.
Moss
Two weeks ago at Moss Lake, Ronnie Humphries led the 22 boat field with 7.53. Obie and Jeannie Long had 5.16 to take second. They also had big bass with a 3.27 largemouth. Buddy and Michael Black had 4.58 and took third with Arnold Ledford and Brent Shytle close behind with 4.04. Johnny and Reggie Guffey had 3.40 and rounded out the top five.  This past week Larry Denton and Brian Fitch took the win with 6.01. They also had big bass with a 4.48 largemouth. Arnold Ledford and Chris Carroll were second with 5.74 while third with 5.35 was Charles Bridges and Walt Brysick. Jay Jackson and Chris Miller had 5.21 and claimed fifth.
