Lockhart - Carla Diane McMillan, 52, passed away on Friday, May 1st, 2026, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born in Alamance County, NC, she was the daughter of Eunice Taylor Moore and and the late William Charles McMillan. During her adult career with McDonalds and Bojangles, she held many supervisor rolls. Carla wasn't just a supervisor, she was a mentor, friend, and like a second mother to many employees. She had a passion for white tigers and dolphins.

In addition to her mother, Carla is survived by her son, Brandon Simpson and wife, MJ; her ex-husband of 29 years, Eric Simpson; her fiance, Ricky Gregory; her brothers, Charles William McMillan (fiancee, Lisa Moore) and his children, Victoria, Tristan, and William and Malcom Monroe McMillan and his son, James McMillan; her sister, Crystal Gail Spivey, and her children, Odell (Little Odie) and Patricia.

Carla was preceded in death by her dad, William Charles McMillan, her grandparents, Kay and Mac McMillan, Margaret Lucille Taylor, and John W. Taylor Jr., and her niece, Angel Brianna McMillan.

Funeral services are incomplete at the present time.
