Carolyn L. Farthing McNeely, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 while at Shelby Manor, Shelby, NC. She was born in Richmond County, NC to the late David P. Farthing and Eva Mae Roberts Farthing,. She is also predeceased by her 3 children; 4 brothers; 1 sister; Brack Kennington.

Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Shana, Matthew, David and spouses, Geoff and Emily; 3 great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Isaiah and Jeremiah; 2 son-in-laws, Jimmy and David; siblings, Linda F. Wattington and Richard A. Farthing.

During her lifetime, she worked in Retail at Belk. She loved to cook for her family, travel, play bingo, worship God and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and other family. She was a vibrant spirit, frisky and loving. She will be missed by many.
