Blacksburg - Carolyn Putman Stacy, 83, passed away Wednesday, March 11th, 2026 at Cherokee Medical Center.

Born in Clifton, SC, she was the widow of Terry Shuford Stacy and the daughter of the late Hobart William and Nellie Dorman Putman. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and formerly worked as a supervisor in textiles. She was a 1960 graduate of Blacksburg High School.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Eric Stacy (Dena); her grandson, Brayden Stacy; her brother, Kenny Putman (Betty Sue); and her sisters, Ruby Starnes and Martha McCraw.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Jeffery Scott Stacy; her brothers, Paul, Frank, Edward, George, and Charles Putman; and her sisters, Louise Putman and Vinnie Miller.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 14th, 2026 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Eastside Baptist Church, 1284 East Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, SC. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm at the church with Rev. Eric Sellers officiating. Dennis Jolly, Grayson Jolly, Mike Bell, Ray Bailes, Brent Gregory, and Bradley Newton will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Clingman Memorial Gardens.
