Cecil Maurice Carver, age 55, died Saturday May 18, 2013 at his home. Born on August 6, 1957 in Gaston County, he was the son of the late Arthur and Judy Bazzle Carver. He served in the U. S. Army,  loved church and was a member of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Carver worked at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Shelby for the past six years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Evon Walker.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters who love him and will miss him very much. Brothers, Don Carver, and Blair Carver and wife Cindy all of Kings Mountain. Sisters, Florence Williams and husband Ned of Clover SC, Judy Bingham of Gastonia, and Cathy Carver of Shelby; a daughter, Suzie Carver, three step-children, Clair Parham, Howard Parham and Lewis Parham;  and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday May 21, 2013 with Military Honors,  at 2:00pm at Gaston Memorial Park with Pastor Forest Hennessey officiating.
