Cecil Raie Towery, 92, of 6753 Casar Road, Lawndale, passed away Sunday, May
24, 2015 at Carolinas HealthCare System - Cleveland in Shelby.

Born October 20, 1922 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late John
Towery and Notre Hoyle Towery. He was a retired cotton farmer and attended
Tabernacle Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie
Glover Towery; son, Cecil Towery Jr; three grandchildren; two brothers, June
and Ralph Towery and a sister, Fannie McCombs.

Survivors include son, Hairl Towery of Lawndale; daughter, Lena McNeilly and
husband, James of Casar; brother, Bill Towery of Lawndale; sister, Mack Lail
of Lawndale; three grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and
great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday at Stamey-Tysinger
Funeral Home & Cremation Center

Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston
