Chalmer “Doc” Holiday


 Mr. Chalmer “Doc” Holiday, 73, of 4340 W. Dixon Blvd., died Fri., Sept. 23, 2011 at his home.  A native of Huron Co., Ohio, he was the son of the late Oscar and Camilla Mills Holiday.  He was the pastor of Word of Truth Fellowship and was the owner/operator of Shelby Tree Service for over 35 years.  He spent the last 45 years of his life embodied with Love in the Word of God.  His passion in life and living for the Lord blessed him and his family with the Truth and knowledge of a perfect walk in Christ.  His family rejoices in the peace and assurance of knowing eternally he is in the comfort and presence of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

PRECEDED: In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters. 

SURVIVED: He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Naomi Jewell Holiday of the home; four sons, Allen Holiday and wife Rebecca, Tony Holiday and wife Sharon, Scott McCoy and wife Frieda, all of Shelby, Harvey Miller and wife Monica of Maiden; four daughters, Vaughn Osborne and husband Billy of Shelby, Cathy Browning and husband Bradford, Darla Wybiral and husband Joseph, Tamela Kenny and husband Steven, all of Lawndale; eight brothers and sisters; 18 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren.

SERVICES: 1PM Monday at Word of Truth Fellowship

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Sunday, 4-6pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home, and other times at his home. 

BURIAL: Burial will immediately follow in Cleveland Memorial Park
