 Mrs. Charlene Putnam, 76, of Shelby, NC, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010. Services were held at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel. Burial followed in Cleveland Memorial Park at a later date. 

Mrs. Putnam was preceded in death by her husband, John Turner Putnam; her parents, William Richards & Mazelle Martin Richards; and 1 sister, Jody Willis.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Debbie Bruce and husband Malcolm of Simpsonville, SC, Kathy Ondrovic of Greenville, SC, and Tammy Harris and husband David of Shelby; 1 brother, William Richards, Jr. of Casar; 2 sisters, Mary McMurry of Casar and Paula Marshall of Lawndale; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a number of beloved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Boiling Springs Life Saving & Rescue, 650 McBrayer Homestead Rd., Shelby, NC 28152; or donor’s choice.

Cleveland Funeral Services, Shelby, NC is serving the family.
