Mr. Charles Clyde Blackwell, 77 of 1431 1st Ave Place NW, Hickory passed
away Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Brian Center - Viewmont.

Born June 9, 1938 in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late James Franklin
Blackwell and Lucinda Goins Blackwell. He was retired from Vanguard
Furniture and was a member of Oxford Baptist Church in Hickory.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Frankie
Blackwell; daughter, Teresa Isenhour; three sisters, Virginia, Marie and
Udell and a brother, Allen Blackwell.

Survivors include his wife 48 years, Vertie Sue King Blackwell; two
daughters, Debbie North and Kathy Duggar both of Hickory; seven
grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a brother, Connie Blackwell of
Hickory.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral
Home & Cremation Center

Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM, Sunday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home &
Cremation Center Chapel with Pastor Joel Frye officiating.

Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston
