Charles Edward Turner, 78, of 2045 Fallston Road, Shelby, passed away
Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at his home.

Born June 24, 1940 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late John Martin
Turner and Flossie Hoyle Turner. He worked at Universal for 48 years and
helped out at Turner Upholstery. Mr. Turner enjoyed time with his
grandchildren and loved to be at all of their ballgames and awards
ceremonies. He enjoyed his swimming pool and people coming over to swim.
Mr. Turner was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda
Turner and two brothers, J.W. Turner and Max Turner.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Rallie Ann Turner; daughter, Deborah
Turner; son, Eddie Turner; daughter, April Mauney (Patrick Mauney) all of
Shelby; grandchildren, Tyler Turner of Charlotte and Rachel, Harry and Ben
Mauney of Shelby.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday at Pleasant Grove Baptist
Church.

A memorial service will be 3:00 PM, Sunday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church
with Rev. Ronell Owensby officiating.

Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston.
