Bob Boston

01/28/1941 - 6/5/2012

Charlie "Bob" Baxter Boston, 71, of 787 David's Chapel Church Road,

Lawndale, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center

in Winston-Salem.

Born January 28, 1941 in Gaston County, he was a son of the late Guy William

Boston and Dallas Hoyle Boston.  He was a carpenter for Boston Construction

Company.  Bob was a longtime active member of David's Chapel United

Methodist Church where he was lay leader, Sunday school superintendent,  and

Adult Sunday school teacher.  He loved to mechanic, hunting, outdoors and

gardening.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death a granddaughter, Emily

Boston and two brothers, Donald Boston and Carl Boston.

Survivors include his wife, Coleen Self Boston; two sons, Vic Boston and

wife, Beth of Lawndale and Ray Boston and wife, Teressa of York, SC; two

daughters, Penny Grigg and husband, Phillip of Lafayette, GA and Gail

Gilbert and husband, Brian of Lincolnton; two brothers, JD Boston of Crouse

and Ronald Boston of Crouse; and two sisters, Cora Mae Emert of Flordada, TX

and Gertrude Spake of Waco; and eight grandchildren, Jacob Boston, Carrie

Grigg, Laura Grigg, Sara Cleckner and husband, Chad, Marie Gilbert, Luke

Gilbert, Hanna Boston and Grace Boston.

Visitation: 2:30 PM - 3:45 PM, Friday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston

Funeral Service: 4:00 PM, Friday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston

Burial: David's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to David's Chapel United Methodist
