Charlie Earl Lewis, 86 of Thrasher Drive, Lawndale passed away Monday,
January 25, 2016 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

Born May 3, 1929 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Charlie Young
Lewis and Carrie Willis Lewis. He was retired from FASCO and was a member
of Friendship United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Sue Ware Lewis; son, Roger Lewis and
wife, Karen of Michigan; daughter, Sheila Gammons and husband, Steve of
Shelby; sister, Betty Lewis Ashley of Fallston; five grandchildren, Dustin
Lewis, Derek Lewis, Robert Gammons, Patrick Gammons and Margie Vinson; nine
great-grandchildren, Avery Lewis, Jake Lewis, Aurora Lewis, Harper Gammons,
McCoy Gammons, Cedric Vinson, Jr., Cameron Vinson, Israel Vinson and
Quatessica Vinson.

Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Stamey - Tysinger
Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at the home of Sheila
Gammons, 1337 Spake Circle, Shelby.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Friendship United Methodist
Church with Rev. Neal Brower officiating.

Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park
