Cletus Carol Wright, 87, of Poplar Springs Church Road, Shelby, passed away
Sunday, December 4, 2016 at his home.

He was born on July 24, 1929 in Cleveland County to the late Cletus Arthur
Wright and Florence Hayes Wright. He was retired from the textile industry
and was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. Mr. Wright also served in the
US Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed spending time working in his yard
and gardening, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and
making homemade ice cream.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by four brothers, Colon,
Theron, Woodrow and Harol Wright and three sisters, Thelma Morgan, Chloe
Williams, and Ezelle McCraw.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-two and half years, Billie Sue Anthony
Wright; three sons and daughters-in-law, Carol and Susan Wright of
Williamsville, NY, Alan and Myra Wright of Shelby, and Paul and Nickie
Wright of Shelby; seven grandchildren and spouses, Timmy Wright, Erin and
Adam Zakrzewski, Kristin and Brantley Malone, Meghan Wright, Mark and Katie
Flores, Kayla Flores, and Hunter Wright; and three great grandchildren,
Audrey Malone, Benjamin Malone, and Fitzgerald Zakrzewski.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at
Crestview Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be on Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Crestview Baptist
Church with the Revs. Joe Edwards and Stan Webb officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Cleveland Memorial Park.
