 KOSA

The Kosa retirees fished Lake Wylie last week under cloudy and rainy conditions, and according to tournament director John Black, “man did those fish ever bite today”. James Osborne and Ray Hembree took the win with 11.90 just edging out David O’Shields and Doug Sparrow who had 11.70. Third place was also close behind with 11.10, and that was John Black and Roger McNeilly. O’Shields and Sparrow had the big fish of the day with a 3.75 largemouth. This week the old timers will be on Lake Norman.


Moss


Last Thursday night on Moss Lake, the weekly event had 15 boats. Arnold Ledford and Brent Shytles picked up the win with 9.82. Brian and Cody Hoyle had 5.97 and were second, they also had big fish of the evening with a 2.89 largemouth. Third place went to Scott Yarboro and Matt Fraser with 2.78. Gerald Briggs and Charles Bridges had 2.74 and landed in fourth with Randy and Randall Wright rounding out the top five with 2.56.


CCBC


The Cleveland County Bass Club fished Lake Wylie on Saturday with less than Wylie-like results. Tom Mayhew got the win with 8.78 followed by Ray Hembree with 8.34. Roger Hamrick had 6.78 and was third with Roger Beaver taking fourth with 5.94. Larry Melton was fifth with 4.34. Big bass was a 2.66 largemouth brought in by Tom Mayhew.


Bass Casters


The Bass Casters fished their top ten fishoff Sunday and ended up on Lake Wylie. Mark Swink got the win with 11.0 followed by Roger Hamrick with 7.4. There was a tie for third between Bobby Winn and Mitch McCracken, both had 5.5. John Brown took fifth with 4.12. There was also a tie for big fish between Swink and McCracken, both broguht in a 3.7 largemouth to split that honor. The Bass Casters will fish their regular October event on Lake Hickory, on the 17th.
