Clifford Benard Henderson Clifford Benard Henderson, 84, of Dallas Cherryville Highway, died November 11, 2013 at W. G. Hefner VA Medical Center, Salisbury.  He was born on Nov. 2, 1929 in Cocke Co. TN, a son of the late Newton Benard and Carrie Turner Henderson.   He was retired from General Motors and along his wife were long line truck drivers and owners operators for several years after his retirement. Mr. Henderson also operated a produce stand. He also faithfully served his country during Korea in the US Air Force.   In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter Wanda Henderson and a son Randy Henderson, and several brothers and sisters.   Survivors include his wife Iva Jean Woody Henderson, son Marve Henderson(Sandra) of Hickory, daughter in law Kay Henderson of Cherryville, seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, and a brother Coolidge Henderson of Newport, TN.   Funeral services will be held Sat. at 1 PM at Carpenter’s Funeral and cremation Services with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating with burial in Shady Grove Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday at the funeral from 11:30-12:45 PM and at other times at the home.   You may honor Clifford Henderson’s life with a donation to your favorite charity.
