Clyde Parker, 88, of Shelby, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Atrium Health - Kings Mountain.

Clyde was born on June 29, 1937, in Cleveland County and was a son of the late Leo Worth and Bessie Hamrick Parker. He was retired from autobody repair having worked at Wright's Auto Repair and Wix's Auto Repair. He was a member of Blessed Way Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his three brothers, AC Parker, Billy Parker, and Alfred Parker and five sisters, Beatrice Greene, Mary Rogers, Jane Sipes, Shirley Edwards, and Barbara Wright.

Clyde is survived by his wife of seventy-one years Mary Valriea Tallent Parker; son, Donnie Parker and wife Tracy of Shelby; two grandsons, Luke Parker and wife Kathryn and Bailey Parker and fiancée Sophie Metcalf and great granddaughter Mary Caroline Parker.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 6:00 Pm to 7:30 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Blessed Way Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Cook officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Fallston, NC.
