Communities In Schools Celebrates Dental Health Month
Cleveland County third graders participating in Give Kids A Smile visit one of the partnering dentists to have dental sealants applied. This year, in 2012, Drs. Matthew Borders, William Claytor, John Crosland, Pauline Cahill, Kendalyn Lutz-Craver and James S. Wilson contributed their time by going to the schools to screen students. Approximately 150 – 200 students will participate as the result of this donated service from Drs. Phillip Jiamachello, Pauline Cahill, Brenton Young, Bryan Baker, Stephen Baker, James S. Wilson, Craig Thompson, Douglas Stroud, Kendalyn Lutz-Craver and Sara Karner. Cleveland County is very fortunate to have such dedicated and loyal volunteers to help make a difference in many children’s lives. Good oral health is essential to a healthy body and mind. Thanks to all who participate in this program. Communities In Schools will have a billboard in uptown Shelby during the month of February 2012 to celebrate Dental Health Month.
