Cynthia "Cindy" Kay Pendleton, 64, of Marion, passed away on November 22, 2025. Her home for many years was Rose Hill Retirement where she had many friends and was surrounded by a loving and caring staff. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, crosswords, and word searches. Thanks to an organ donor 35 years ago, Cindy received a kidney transplant. Even though she encountered many challenges throughout her life, Cindy was able to bless others with her fun-spirited nature and her kindness.



Cindy was born on March 21, 1961 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Robert Joseph Pendleton and Kay Frances Laughter Pendleton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Turner and a sister, Dianne Lynn Pendleton.



Cindy is survived by her sister, Sandra Robertson and husband, Paul of Marion; nephew, Gavin Duckworth and wife, Lauren, nieces, Megan Binder and husband, Eric, Alexis Harris and husband, Will, and five great nieces and nephews.



The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Polkville Methodist Church.



The funeral service will begin at 2:00pm at the church with Rev. Keys Pendleton officiating.



Burial will follow in Oak Grove Church Cemetery.



Memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 930 Shady Lane, Marion, NC to assist kidney transplant candidate, Josh Collins.
