 Mr. Darrell Glenn Smith, 55, of 103 N. Florida Ave., Chesnee, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, July 9, 2010. Services were held at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Patterson Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. 

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Raleigh and Verl Street Smith; and 4 brothers, Willis, Richard, Dean and Connie Smith.

He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Betty Grigg Smith of the home; 5 children, Danielle Goins of Blacksburg, Donny Bryant of Lexington, Keisha Bond of Chesnee, LeAnn Bond of the home, and Mollie Chroniscer; 2 sisters, Kay Hubbard of Bessemer City and Melinda Hinson of Lawndale; 1 brother, Tim Hubbard of Bessemer City; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; his mother & father-in-law, Mary and Milland Grigg; a brother-in-law, Ronald Grigg; and a sister-in-law, Brenda Grigg.
