Mr. David C. Allen, 81, of 417 Mountain Trace Lane, Sylva, NC passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2010. A Graveside Service was held in Mary’s Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC. 

Mr. Allen served our country in the U.S. Army, where he served in the 275th Ordinance Maintenance Company during Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Elizabeth Barrett; and his parents, Riley and Florence Ledford Allen.

He is survived by 1 son, Ron Allen and wife Donna of Waynesville, NC; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Margie Ware of Millers Creek, Phyllis McSwain of Cherryville, and Elaine Barrett of Gastonia.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Mary’s Grove United Methodist church, 1106 Mary’s Grove Church Rd., Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
