David E. Burnette,  age 55, resident of 113 Butternut Dr., died February 9, 2012 at Kings Mountain Hospital. He was born in Granville Co., NC, son of the late Robert E. Burnette. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Casey L. Burnette. He was formerly employed by Lowe’s Home Improvement, owned and operated Stateline Grocery in Shelby, NC for a number of years and was a current business owner in York, SC.  Mr. Burnette was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Oxford, NC and enjoyed dirt track racing and riding his motorcycle. He was a loving husband, father, son and brother.
