David Heath Smith, 47, of Boyles Road passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026

David was born on April 9, 1979 in Cleveland County to parents Donna Smith Drake and David Kevin Smith. David had a love for being outside and in nature. He was a member of Bingham Memorial Church.

He was Preceded in death by his brother, Joshua Smith.

David is survived by his father David Kevin Smith and Brenda Walker Smith of Shelby; mother, Donna Smith Drake and husband Rick of Shelby; four children, Alexus Prichard and husband Josh of Kannapolis, Dakota Smith and wife Ashley of Sofia, Kloee Aguero of Lawndale, Daymian Smith of Shelby; two sisters, April Kennedy of Shelby and Brandi Goode and husband Andy of Boiling Springs; two grandchildren, Bransyn and Luca, and three nephews; Evan Caple, Jake Goode, Jesse Scruggs.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 from 12:45pm to 1:45pm at Stamey- Tysinger Funeral Home. At others time the family will be at the home of Donna Drake, 1002 Costner Road, Shelby, NC 28150 and Brenda Walker, 902 Costner Road, Shelby, NC 28150.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 2:00pm at Stamey- Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Mahaffey Officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
