Mr. David Henry Willmore, age 79 of Shelby, NC, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at his residence in Shelby.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Denise Stride Willmore of the home, his daughter, Lindsey Nowell and husband Michael of Rocky Mount, NC, three grandchildren, Sarah Loveless of Mountain City, TN, Ally Loveless of Raleigh, NC, and David Nowell of Rocky Mount, NC, and a sister, Jean Taylor of England.
Born November 11, 1946, in Aston, England, David was the son of the late John Thomas Willmore and Irene Rachel Jennings Willmore and was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Willmore and John Willmore.
David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed watching English football, fishing, golfing, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. David was a dedicated volunteer at the Hospice store driving equipment to houses. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
