David Paul Dobbins, 75, of Shelby, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday,
August 22, 2018 at his home.

Born in Cleveland County on December 1, 1942, he was a son of the late Lewis
Dobbins and Macie Sisk Dobbins. He was retired from EPRI of Charlotte as a
project manager. Mr. Dobbins was also a member of Double Shoals Baptist
Church and loved to play ping pong with three special friends at the senior
center.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Harold
Dobbins.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Brenda Kay Perry Dobbins;
son, William David Dobbins and special friend, Melanie Knight of Oakland,
California; sister-in-law, Faye Dobbins of Boiling Springs; three nieces and
a nephew.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 25, 2018, from 10:00 AM
to 12:00 Noon in the Double Shoals Baptist Church Family Life Center.

A private service will be held later.

A private burial will be in the Double Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery.
