Mr. David Randall “Randy” Austin, 53 of 1126 West Old Post Road, Cherryville, NC passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Services were held at First Baptist Church, Cherryville, NC. Burial followed in Sunset Cemetery with military honors. 

Mr. Austin served our country in the U.S. Army.     

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Medlin Austin; and 1 sister, Susan Austin Smith.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Nina Piercy Austin; his father, David W. Austin; 3 sons, David Reid Austin and wife Amber and  Jacob Ryan Austin, all of Monroe, and Trent Randall Austin of Cherryville; 1 daughter, Amy Elizabeth Austin of Cherryville; 1 brother, Mark Austin of Charlotte, NC; 2 sisters, Ann Austin and Jane Munsey, both of Charlotte, NC; and his mother-in-law, Susie Piercy of Cherryville, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the organization of the donor’s choice.
