David T. Sanders, age 55, resident of Lenoir City, TN passed away October 8, 2013 at his home.   He was born in Greenville, SC.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Sanders Hunter; paternal grandparents, Paul and Viola Sanders; and maternal grandmother, Ethel Cobb Lingerfelt.   David was retired from TVA,  of the Baptist Faith, and an avid Auburn fan.   He loved volunteering and helping abused women and under privileged people.  He had a passion for helping people receive treatment for drug and alcohol abuse. 

SURVIVORS: Parents: Don and Faye Lingerfelt Sanders, Kathleen, GA

Son: Corey Sanders, Knoxville, TN

Brother: Michael Sanders, Byron, GA

Sister: Jessica Gray and husband Rob, Tartu, Estonia.

Several nieces and nephews.
