Dean Eugene "George" Daves, 67, passed away on November 23, 2025 at his residence.

George was born on February 13, 1958 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Paul C. Daves and Ethel Philbeck Daves. He was retired from Bernhardt Furniture and was a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church. George was a member of Buck Masters Hunting Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Wayne Daves.

George is survived by two brothers, Jack Daves and Paul Daves and wife Vickie; two sisters, Nancy Gettys and Trudy Clary and husband, David; former sister-in-law, Beverly Daves Shytle; twelve nieces and nephews; special pets, Patches and two toes and many friends as family.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 from 12:00pm-1:00pm at Sandy Plains Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm at Sandy Plains Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Faggart officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
