Deborah Kay Downey, 56, of Bostic, died Sunday, October 28 at her home. A native of Kissimmee, FL, she was the daughter of Gretchen Nance and the late James Nance. She was a truck driver and a member of Temple Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Larry Downey of the home; son Jason Barnwell of Gastonia; daughter Marsha Barnwell of Edneyville; two brothers, Zachary Nance of Forest City and Kevin Nance of Henrietta; two grandchildren, Wyatt Mayo and Jacob Barnwell.

Memorial services will be 2 PM Sunday, November 4 at Temple Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
