Dennis Raney Harris, 81, of Tarboro, NC, and formerly of Blacksburg, SC, went home to be with Lord November 26, 2017. He is the husband of LaRue Preslar Harris of the home and was formerly married to the late Jackie Harris.

He is survived by his loving family which includes his wife, LaRue; one daughter - Denise Hall and husband, Larry, of Grover, NC; step-daughters - Meta Wood and husband, Bishop Sammy, of Tarboro, Hanna Brown and husband, Randy, of Zebulon, NC and Andrea Robbins and husband, Rev. Mike, of Tarboro; one sister - Joyce Vance of Sacremento, CA; grandchildren - Madison and Tanner Gallman; and step-grandchildren - Corey Myers, Sam Wood, Nicole Meares, Thomas Robbins, John Robbins and Hayley Robbins.

In addition to his first wife, he is preceded in death by brothers - Gene Harris, Howard Harris and Junior Harris; and sisters - Deloris Jackson and Shirley Childers.

A visitation and service were held in Tarboro Tuesday evening at the Tarboro Church Of God.

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 30, 2017, at the Blacksburg Church Of God from 12:00 - 2:00 PM. A Graveside Celebration Of Life Service will begin at 2:00 PM, at Mountain View Cemetery, Blacksburg.
