SHELBY-Dolly Green Mellon, 78, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Fay and Essie Foster Green. She was a member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church. She loved to bake, and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Cecil Mellon, of the home; sons, Gary Mellon and wife Debra, and Darrell Mellon and wife Sharon; sister, Patsy Wright and husband Lewis, and Norman Green and wife Phyllis, all of Shelby; grandchildren, Mike Mellon and girlfriend, Jennifer Oaks, Brian Mellon and wife Susan, Benjamin Mellon, and Ashburn Mellon; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Josh, Brianna, Eric, Cody, and Weston Mellon, and Skylar Oaks.

VISITATION: The family will receive friend Monday, 6-7:30pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home

SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2pm, Tuesday, at Rehobeth United Methodist Church

BURIAL: will follow in the church cemetery

CLERGY: Rev. Mike Austin will officiate
