Doris Hardy Meador, age 99, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at her home in Shelby.

Born in Baltimore, MD on November 8, 1920 she was the daughter of the late Esten Hardy and wife Lula Boyer Hardy. Formerly of Greensboro she retired after 31 years as a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery Department at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son Richard Meador, two daughters, Donna Thomerson and Delores Piner as well as six siblings.

Doris is survived by her daughter Dianne Wright of Shelby, daughter-in-law Karin Meador of Kent, WA, sons-in-law, Mike Thomerson (Mary) of Clemmons NC and Charles Piner of Wellinngton, CO as well as three grandsons; Chris Piner, Jason Wright and David Thomerson .

The family will hold a private service at a later date.
