Dorothy “Dot” Louise Truelove, age 68 died Saturday May 3, 2014 at her home. Born in Chatham County Ga. on October 7, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson Lewis and Katie Leona Cribbs Lewis. Dot liked to attend Calvary's Cross Baptist Church and worked for 10 years at Doran Mills. Dot loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing Bingo and board games. In addition to her parents, Dot is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Butch Truelove, and a brother, J. R. Lewis.

Dot is survived by a son, Scott Truelove of Shelby; a daughter, Tammy Morrison and husband John of Shelby; a sister, Questie Johnson of Pooler Ga.; a brother, Bill Kite of Lattimore; two grandsons, Brandon Truelove and Waylon Morrison; sisters and brothers -in-law; Juanita Grant and husband Steve, Katherine Bradley, Sue Barnett and husband Homer, Bertha Truelove; her beloved pets, Big Fella and Boss; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held on Tuesday May 6, 2014 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Billy Boone officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:00 pm an hour before the service.
