Dorothy Ellen Glenn McCurry, 83, of 108 Falls Street, Fallston, passed away
Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the home of her daughter.

Dorothy was born in Cleveland County, on March 16, 1928, to the late Robert
Lee Glenn, Sr. and Myrtle Ella Queen Glenn.  She retired from Stamey Funeral
Home after 38 years as the receptionist and was a member of Fallston Baptist
Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin
Winfred McCurry; granddaughter, Maura Denise McCurry; son, Arnold McCurry;
six brothers, William "Bill" Glenn, Robert Glenn, Alvin Glenn, Newell Glenn,
Donald Glenn and Frank Glenn; and five sisters, Hazel Glenn, Margaret Myers,
Lillie Mae Glenn, Blanche Dayberry and Wilma Bridges

Dorothy is survived by one son Dennis McCurry and wife Arlene of Richmond,
Virginia; two daughters, Gail Wegrzyn of Fallston and Sherry Wilson of
Shelby; a brother, Wray Glenn of Lawndale; a sister,  Peggy "Lib" Fama of
Norfolk, VA; two grandchildren, Michael McCurry and wife, Angie of
Mooresville and Mark McCurry and wife, Loree of Statesville and five great
grandchildren, Rachel, Nathan, Rebecca, Matthew, Ruth McCurry.

Funeral Services:  6:00 PM,  Friday,  Stamey Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston.

Officiating: Rev. David Blanton.

Interment:  11:00 AM,  Saturday at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston.
